Honors officials, volunteers after state-level events
Jamshedpur, December 26: A review and felicitation ceremony was held today at Telco Club to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 5th Jharkhand State Level Master Athletic Championship 2025 and The Great Jharkhand Run 2025. The event, organized under the Master Athletic Association of Jharkhand, recognized the contributions of technical officials, volunteers, and office bearers who played key roles in conducting both competitions smoothly.
Sanjeev Kumar Tomar, General Secretary of the Master Athletic Association of Jharkhand and an international athlete, congratulated everyone for the success of the events. He said the association aims to host national-level competitions in Jamshedpur in the coming years, highlighting the city’s potential to organize such large-scale events. He noted that the experience of successfully conducting state-level competitions for five consecutive years has prepared the team to handle national-level tournaments.
Vijay Singh, Vice President of the Master Athletic Federation of India and chief guest of the ceremony, also praised the state unit and the East Singhbhum Master Athletic Association for their joint efforts in organizing the competitions. Certificates of appreciation were presented to all technical officials, volunteers, and dedicated office bearers in recognition of their valuable contributions.
The ceremony acknowledged the special efforts of key members, including President Vijay Singh, General Secretary S.K. Tomar, international master athletes Avtar Singh, Harvinder Singh Lovely, Guru Sharan Singh, Jujhar Singh, R.P. Pandey, Charanjit Kaur, former national athlete Kewal Singh, Seema Kewal, Secretary Shyam Kumar Sharma, M. Arshad, W. Rahman, Nitin Kumar, Geet Raj Singh Sandhu, Kamlesh Kumar Singh, Nilesh Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Aarushi Kumari, Jahan Ara Begum, and Virendra Kumar Mishra. Their combined efforts contributed significantly to the success of both events.
