Ranchi, July 17: The Jharkhand government has imposed a ban on private room reservations at the new Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi, with immediate effect. The decision was made following reports that private bookings — especially those based on recommendations from lower-level officials and various dignitaries — were leading to overcrowding.
This situation was causing inconvenience to public representatives and officials visiting Delhi on government duty, as they were struggling to get accommodation in the state-run facility.
The order, approved by the Chief Secretary, aimed to ensure that Jharkhand Bhawan primarily served those on official state business, providing them with easy access to rooms when in the capital.
