Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Twelve days after the abduction of Kairav Gandhi, son of prominent businessman Devang Gandhi, the case remains unresolved, with no concrete leads emerging so far.

Kairav was abducted from the CH Area in close proximity to the SSP’s residence, raising serious questions over local law and order.

Amid growing concern, a high-profile delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders visited the Gandhi family to express solidarity.

The delegation included new BJP state president Aditya Sahu, former Chief Ministers Raghubar Das and Arjun Munda, former state BJP president Dineshanand Goswami, and several other senior leaders.

Newly appointed district BJP president Sanjeev Sinha was also present.

The leaders met the family members and assured them that the entire opposition stood firmly with them until Kairav Gandhi is safely recovered.

During their visit, the leaders also held telephonic discussions with the DIG and the Senior Superintendent of Police, seeking updates on the investigation.

Addressing the media later, the BJP leaders launched a scathing attack on the state government, alleging a complete collapse of law and order in Jharkhand.

They claimed that public safety was at serious risk and that kidnapping had turned into an “organized industry” under the current regime.

The leaders further alleged that criminals were enjoying political patronage and even questioned the manner in which senior police officials, including the DGP, were being appointed.

Offering reassurance to the family, Aditya Sahu said the BJP would extend all possible support until Kairav is found.

He asserted that sustained efforts by the BJP in recent years had led to the safe recovery of more than 50 missing children in the state.

He added that the BJP was continuously mounting pressure on the administration to expedite the search operation.

Sahu directed the Jamshedpur district BJP leadership to submit a memorandum to the SSP on January 24, demanding the immediate recovery of Kairav Gandhi.

He also announced that on January 27, a high-level BJP delegation led by him would meet the Director General of Police at the state police headquarters in Ranchi, seeking swift and effective action in the case.
