Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Workers College celebrated its Graduation Day today in a grand and enthusiastic atmosphere. A large number of graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate programs attended, filling the college campus with excitement and vibrancy.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Student Welfare Officer (DSW), Kolhan University, was warmly welcomed by the college authorities. Principal Dr. Satyapriya Mahalik presented a bouquet, while Dr. Javed Iqbal offered a memento. Prof. Subhash Chandra Das felicitated the Chief Guest with a ceremonial shawl. The event began with the worship of Goddess Saraswati and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the college anthem sung by Dr. Archana Kumari, Dr. Monidipa Das and Prof. Kanchan Giri.
In his welcome address, Principal Mahalik emphasized the significance of Graduation Day as a milestone in students’ academic journey, symbolizing their hard work, discipline and perseverance. He wished graduates a bright future and encouraged them to contribute positively to society and nation-building.
Dr. Yadav, in his address, inspired students to embrace not only education but also moral values, social responsibility and a lifelong learning mindset. He highlighted that universities and colleges provide direction and vision for life beyond degrees.
Certificates were awarded to graduates of 2021, 2022 and 2023, reflecting their achievement and bringing pride and joy to students and families. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anilchandra Pathak, expressing gratitude to the guests, faculty, staff and organizers for making the event memorable.
