Jamshedpur, Feb 15: A young woman’s body was found in room number 302 of a hotel on New Purulia Road under Ulidih PS in Mango on Thursday, February 15. The hotel management informed the police who arrived at the spot and took the body away for postmortem. The police have recovered two identification documents of the woman. One identification document mentioned the woman’s address as Mango Guru Nanak Basti, while the other mentions Bhuinyadih Chhayanagar. The woman’s name in the identification document was Komal Kumari (28). Hotel manager Rajpal stated that the woman checked into the room at 8:10 PM. Since she had a local ID, the room was not being allotted to her, but the woman claimed that her ID had a local address although she worked outside. The woman was then given the room. On Thursday morning, when the staff went to serve tea in the room, the woman did not open the door. After some time, an auto driver came and informed that a woman from the hotel had called for an auto, but she was not answering the phone. Suspecting foul play, the police were notified. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived, and the room was opened. It was found that the woman had hanged herself with the help of her scarf. The police are investigating the matter.
