Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur tourists will soon have a new attraction with the opening of the Bhool-Bhulaiya (Labyrinth) Park. Located at Sonari Domuhani, the park is being built on 5.5 acres of land at a cost of Rs. 5.5 crore. The park will also feature a parking facility that can accommodate up to 250 vehicles. Krishna Kumar, Deputy Administrator of Jamshedpur, said, “The park will provide a much-needed parking solution, reducing traffic congestion in the city.”
In addition to the parking area, the park will include various amenities such as an Urban Haat, an open gym, a children’s park, swings, a gallery and a walking track. Around the park, flower gardens and a green grass field have been developed for visitors. The park is expected to enhance the enjoyment of local festivals and celebrations.
The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has issued a tender for managing the park and parking area. The tender will be open from February 17 to February 19, with the deadline for application submission set for February 27. A Rs. 15 lakh security deposit is required to apply and the minimum annual revenue for the successful bidder is expected to be Rs. 5 lakh.
To address the growing issue of inadequate parking in the city, a Netherlands-based company is conducting a survey for constructing multi-level parking in Sakchi and Bistupur. “As the city expands and the number of vehicles increases, multi-level parking is becoming essential to meet the needs of motorists,” said Krishna Kumar, deputy municipal commissioner, JNAC.
The park and parking facility are expected to alleviate traffic issues and provide a recreational space for residents and tourists alike.
