Jamshedpur: Jharkhand is expected to witness mixed weather conditions on Monday, with the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasting cloudy skies and intermittent rain in parts of the state, including Ranchi and Jamshedpur. However, Daltonganj in Palamu district is likely to remain dry despite partly cloudy skies.
According to the Met Department, the capital Ranchi witnessed overcast conditions on Sunday, with light to moderate rainfall recorded in some areas. Similar conditions are expected to prevail on Monday, May 5. Thunderstorms and rain are likely in isolated places, with temperatures ranging between a high of 34°C and a low of 21°C.
Jamshedpur, the district headquarters of East Singhbhum, experienced partly cloudy weather on Sunday. The city is expected to continue with cloud cover on Monday, with chances of rainfall and cooler winds. The maximum temperature is forecast at 34°C, while the minimum could hover around 23°C.
In Palamu’s Daltonganj, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy today, but the chances of rain are minimal, as per the latest bulletin. Although scattered clouds dominated the sky on Sunday, rainfall is unlikely on Monday. Temperatures are expected to peak at 39°C, with a minimum of 22°C.
The weather fluctuation is attributed to moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal, influencing the central and southern regions of the state. Residents are advised to carry umbrellas and stay updated through official weather bulletins, especially in areas with expected thunderstorms.
The Met Department has urged caution for those traveling in rain-prone zones, especially in the afternoon and evening hours, when thunderclouds are most active.
