Jamshedpur to host Jharkhand National Film Fest from Nov 1,  tribal talents ramp walk, films from 20 countries

Jamshedpur, October 28: The fourth edition of Jharkhand National Film Festival is starting on November 1.

This film festival will run from November 1 to 7 in Jamshedpur.

On November 1 and 2, public screening of films will be held at Srinath University, Adityapur and Karim City College Auditorium, Sakchi.

Public screening of films will be done from November 3-6 at Michael John Auditorium located in Bistupur.

Cine Awards ceremony will be organized at XLRI Tata Auditorium Bistupur amidst colorful programs on November 7. Bollywood actress and ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ actress Mandakini will attend the award ceremony.

At the same time, Jharkhand’s folk singer Padmashree Mukund Nayak will also be present at the Cine Awards ceremony.

This information was given by Jharkhand National Film Festival founders Sanjay Satpathy, Raju Mitra and patron Purvi Ghosh in a press conference held at Sonari Tribal Cultural Center on Saturday (28 October).

It was informed that more than 100 films were presented in this festival. Out of them, only 60 films have got entry in the festival. Entry of spectators into the festival will be free.

Entries of films have come from 20 countries.

There will be award for Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress at the Cine Awards ceremony. Tribal fashion show will be organized during this period. In this, tribal girls of Jharkhand will catwalk on the ramp in traditional outfits. At the same time, cine artists of Jharkhand will also get a chance to share the stage in the festival. They will spread the magic of their dance and fun.
