Woman Commits Suicide in Jamshedpur; Family Alleges Abetment

Jamshedpur: A 26-year-old woman, identified as Puja Kumari, died by suicide at her residence in the Sonari locality on Friday morning. The tragic incident has shocked the community, occurring just one day after the family visited a prospective groom for her.

According to police, family members discovered the woman hanging in her room and alerted the authorities. A police team took custody of the body and transported it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

Family Alleges Foul Play

While no suicide note was found at the scene, the family has accused a man named Vijay Kumar, whom they described as her beloved, of abetment of suicide.

The timing of the incident has raised significant questions. Family members informed investigators that they had visited a prospective groom’s house only a day earlier. While they reported that the meeting proceeded normally, the sudden tragedy has left the family in deep shock and grief.

Police Investigation Underway

The Jamshedpur Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are exploring all possible angles, including:
