Jamshedpur residents demand repair of leaking water pipeline

Jamshedpur, April 3:  Jugsalai Old Ward No 10 residents have already started feeling the summer heat with lack of regular water supply in residential areas around Ram Janki Kanya Vidyalaya. The matter was aggravated by a leaking water line with the water literally flowing down the drain.

A delegation of the local residents led by social worker Damodar Shani Baba handed a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on Monday demanding immediate reapair of the leaking water line. Damodar Shani Baba said that due to the leakage in the main pipe line a lot of water was being wasted and instead, flowing into the drain.

Another demand placed before the DC was regarding a 400 meter road in the Ward that was laid four months ago. The road was constructed in a manner that the central width was narrow and the sides were uneven that had been leading to minor accidents. The DC was urged to order leveling of the road. The delegation that met the DC on Monday included Vimal Rajak, Raju Singh, Arvind Mishra, Janardan Prasad, Raju Sonkar, Ashok Rajak and others.
