Jamshedpur: Minister Ramdas Soren flags off educational tour for 800 school children to Puri

Jamshedpur: In a significant initiative to enhance experiential learning, the Minister of School Education and Literacy Department and Registration Department, Ramdas Soren, flagged off 800 school children on an educational tour to Puri. The departure ceremony took place at Tatanagar station, with the children boarding the Tata-Puri special train.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, PD ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, City SP Kumar Shivashish, and other administrative and police officials. The educational tour includes children from various districts across the state, with 100 students representing East Singhbhum district. Accompanying the students on this journey are three teachers from each district, ensuring proper guidance and safety.

During the flag-off, Minister Ramdas Soren inspected the train’s pantry car to review the meal menu for the children and interacted with the young travelers in their compartments. He wished them a happy and enriching journey, emphasizing the state government’s commitment to providing quality education and broadening the horizons of children in remote and rural areas.

“This trip is a unique opportunity for children from government schools in remote and inaccessible regions to learn and experience new things, which will benefit them throughout their lives,” the Minister remarked.

As part of the state government’s broader educational initiatives, children in East Singhbhum district are also being taken on tours to private companies, tourist spots, and cultural sites within the district. These efforts aim to create a well-rounded educational environment and inspire students through real-world experiences.

The children expressed immense excitement about the trip, which promises to be a memorable and transformative experience for them.
