Jamshedpur: Maternal uncle gets lifer for nephew’s brutal murder

Jamshedpur, January 24:  On Monday, the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Abhash Verma of Jamshedpur district  court sentenced Aniket Jha alias Munna alias Ashutosh Jha, accused of kidnapping and murdering three-year-old Shivam Shaurya of Kadma, to life imprisonment. 
On behalf of the prosecution, a demand was made to give capital punishment to the accused.
The same accused’s advocate Guddu Haider, saying that the mental condition of the accused is not good, demanded minimum punishment. 
On 12 December 2018, Shivam was kidnapped and killed by Aniket Jha from his Kadma Ramjanam Nagar house.


His body was found lying under a dumper near the bushes 150 yards away on the west side of Platina City Campus under RIT police station area of Adityapur. The accused is a resident of Adityapur Babakuti. Dharmendra Mishra lived with his wife and only son Shubham Shaurya in Kadma Ramjanamnagar Road number six. 
The accused was suffering from an inferiority complex and was feeling humiliated by the scolding of the sister. On the day of the incident, the accused nephew had been kidnapped on the pretext of getting them snacks.

Later the nephew was murdered. After this he fled to Mumbai. After two days the accused was hiding at some distance from the Adityapur house. In the murder case, all the witnesses including the parents, brother, parents of the deceased had testified against the accused.
