
Jamshedpur: A 30-year-old youth, Mohammed Jaheed, was arrested while selling marijuana at a building in Gudri Bazar under Bagbera police station area on Tuesday morning. The drug-peddler is a resident of Azadnagar in Mango. The police seized 800 grams of marijuana the worth of which is estimated to be over Rs 30,000. Apart from the stock of the narcotic drug, the police seized Rs 2,700 from the possession of the accused.

Revealing about the breakthrough, deputy superintendent of police (law and order) Alok Ranjan said the Bagbera OC, Madan Sharma had got a tip off about the marijuana being sold near Gudri Bazar.
” OC Bagbera police station also called in Circle Officer, Jamshedpur block, Anurag Tiwary and conducted the raid having encircled the building,” said the DSP while talking to the newsmen.
The DSP said they are trying to find out the source from where Jaheed would buy the stuff. He said they are also trying to find out whether there was any other person involved in the racket of selling the marijuana which is banned in Jharkhand.
