Jamshedpur Horse Show showcases rising equestrian talent, 84 riders compete

84 riders compete at 4th edition of Show

Jamshedpur, January 22: JRD Tata Sports Department hosted the fourth edition of the Jamshedpur Annual Horse Show today at the Horse-Riding School, Jamshedpur, celebrating young talent and promoting the spirit of competitive equestrian sport among children and adults.

The event witnessed participation from 84 riders across multiple age categories, competing in six different events including Ball and Bucket Race, Pole Bending, Ring Pegging, Tent Pegging, and Show Jumping. More than 11 horses participated in the show, including 9 thoroughbreds and 2 Janskari pony breed horses, adding to the diversity and quality of the competition.

Under the coaching and guidance of Dushyant Kumar, an impressive 54 participants out of 84 secured medals, reflecting the growing standard of training and commitment among young riders.

The closing ceremony was graced by the D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services (VPCS) as the Chief Guest. Also present at the event were Swastika Basu, MD JAMIPOL and Ajay Gupta, General Manager Marketing and Sales, JCAPCPL along with other senior dignitaries. The event was proudly supported by JCAPCPL and JAMIPOL as the main sponsors.

Speaking about the event, organisers shared that the aim of the Annual Horse Show is to introduce children to structured competitive riding, build confidence, discipline, and encourage a lifelong engagement with sport.

    • Mayank Agrawal (Above 18 years)
    • Dhananjay Kumar (Masters 50+)
  • Gold medal performances were recorded by riders such as Aryan Srivastava, Shaurya Singh, Nihit Agrawal, Harnika, Mayank Agrawal, Livansh Taneja, and several others across Tent Pegging, Show Jumping, Ring Pegging, and Pole Bending events .
