‘Hasya Kavi Sammelan’ Fills Jamshedpur with Laughter on Holi

Jamshedpur: The Marwari Yuva Manch (Jamshedpur branch) transformed the Narbheram Hansraj English School auditorium into a hub of hilarity this Wednesday. The “Hasya Kavi Sammelan” (humorous poetry meet) drew a massive crowd of poetry enthusiasts eager to celebrate the eve of Holi with wit and satire.

The Stars of the Stage

Renowned poets from across India captivated the audience with sharp social commentary and rhythmic humour. The lineup included:

  • Sudeep Bhola & Khushboo Sharma: Delivered witty compositions that resonated with the local crowd.
  • Swayam Srivastava & Ajat Shatru: Masterfully blended satire with contemporary social issues.
  • Vinod Pal: Kept the room in stitches with his unique comedic timing.

A Night of Unity and Tradition

The evening began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Marwari Yuva Manch officials and local social workers. Beyond the jokes, the performances carried a deeper message of social harmony and positivity, setting a joyful tone for the upcoming festival of colours.

Promoting Cultural Growth

Organizers highlighted that these literary events serve two main purposes:

  1. Stress Relief: Providing a much-needed break from the grind of daily life.
  2. Youth Engagement: Encouraging the younger generation to embrace creative and literary pursuits.

“We aim to strengthen the city’s cultural landscape,” stated a Marwari Yuva Manch official. “We plan to organize more cultural and literary events to promote brotherhood through the arts.”
