Ranchi, March 30: The DSP injured in the encounter with Anuj Kanaujia, shooter of UP’s Mukhtar Ansari gang, has been discharged from the hospital. He was shot in the hand during the encounter.
While the deceased Anuj Kanaujia body has been sent to MGM Hospital for postmortem. His postmortem will be done with videography under the supervision of the magistrate appointed by the district administration. If sources are to be believed, a woman is also reported to have been arrested in this case. She is said to be the wife of the deceased. However, the police has not officially confirmed it.
On this matter, Jamshedpur SSP Kishor Kaushal said that the shooter was killed in a joint operation of UP, Jharkhand STF. When the STF team arrived for the raid, he started firing. After which he was killed in the retaliatory action of the police.
He said that police is trying to find out the link with the person who gave him shelter, the police investigation is going on this point. The one who gives shelter to the criminal also comes in the category of guilty legally.
The forensic team has also reached for investigation.
23 criminal cases registered against shooter Anuj Kanaujia
Anuj Kanaujia, shooter of Uttar Pradesh’s Mukhtar Ansari gang, was killed on Saturday in a joint operation by UP STF and Jharkhand ATS team. A total of 23 criminal cases including murder, robbery, extortion and Gangster Act are registered against him.
After the order of UP DGP, Mau police had formed several teams to arrest him. He was living in Bhumihar Sadan near Janta Market in Chhota Govindpur police station area.
