Chakulia, August 4: Tanu Sabar, a three-year-old girl from Baikanthpur in Simdi Panchayat of Chakulia block, was suffering from a severe heart condition. Her father Shambhu Sabar and other family members had tirelessly sought medical help everywhere including West Bengal, where her heart disease was diagnosed. Financial constraints plagued the family and it lost almost all hope of getting the child treated.

Shambhu Sabar met Dr. Sanjay Giri, President of Sampurna Manavta Kalyan Sangh. Four days ago, Dr. Giri, accompanied by his team, visited Tanu’s home to assess her condition and review her medical reports. Dr. Giri recommended treatment at Medanta Hospital in Patna and promptly arranged for the family’s travel and accommodation.

Dr. Sanjay Giri coordinated with Dr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta, the Head of Department at Medanta Hospital. Following a thorough examination, it was determined that Tanu required immediate surgery. With Dr. Giri’s intervention, Tanu’s heart operation was successfully performed on Friday. By Sunday, Tanu and her family returned to Chakulia, expressing their profound gratitude to Dr. Sanjay Giri, who they described as a savior.

The Sabar family highlighted Dr. Giri’s comprehensive support, which included transportation, hospital arrangements, and accommodation for all five family members. Dr. Giri acknowledged the support of his dedicated team members Ronit Mahato, Bipalendu Prasad, Miraj, and Piyush Mahato in ensuring the successful treatment of Tanu.

Dr. Giri noted that Tanu’s family belonged to a primitive tribe and lived in extreme poverty, residing in a hut. He emphasized that the success of Tanu’s treatment was the collective effort of his entire team.
