Jamshedpur: The 17 year old girl who attempted suicide after reportedly receiving indecent messages on Facebook died at Medica Hospital on Wednesday.
Sources said the minor, after being allegedly harassed by an unidentified person sending objectionable messages to her through Facebook, had consumed pesticide to end her life. She was taken to MGM Hospital where her condition deteriorated. She was referred to Medica Hospital where she died during treatment.
The minor�s father alleged that police inaction had led to the girl�s death. He said he had complained to Seraikela-Kharsawan SP Chandan Kumar Sinha but had got no relief. Gamharia PS officials often drove his daughter and him when asked about the investigation.
