Jamshedpur, February 12: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi conducted a detailed inspection of MGM Medical College Hospital in Dimna and the DM Library in Sakchi on Thursday, issuing strict instructions to officials to expedite improvements and ensure better public services.
At MGM Medical College Hospital, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the emergency ward, pharmacy, ICU, CT scan unit, registration counter and the under-construction water treatment plant. He interacted directly with patients and their families to understand their concerns and gather feedback on the quality of treatment and facilities available.

Referring to his earlier visits and directions, Satyarthi expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of reforms in hospital systems. He issued a clear ultimatum to officials to bring visible improvements in patient care and overall management within a stipulated timeframe.

He asked the hospital management to ensure optimal utilization of available resources for the convenience of patients and attendants. Stressing the urgency of addressing basic infrastructural gaps, he directed the hospital superintendent, contractor and Mango Municipal Corporation to work in coordination to ensure uninterrupted water supply in the hospital, particularly in view of the approaching summer season.
SDO Arnav Mishra, ADC Santosh Garg, the hospital superintendent and other concerned officials were present during the inspection.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the DM Library in Sakchi to review ongoing renovation and infrastructure development works. He examined seating arrangements for students, benches and desks, reading materials, lighting, sanitation facilities, drinking water arrangements and overall cleanliness.
Satyarthi emphasized that the DM Library should emerge as a vibrant learning hub for students, youth preparing for competitive examinations and general readers. He directed the Deputy Municipal Commissioner to complete all pending preparations at the earliest so that the library can be made operational for public use without further delay.
He also instructed officials to ensure that proper systems are put in place in advance to maintain discipline and smooth functioning once the library opens to the public.
SDO Arnav Mishra, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar, DTO Dhananjay and other officials were present during the visit.
