Jamshedpur, Jan 28: The Gopal Maidan witnessed the rich, cultural fanfare during the Banga Utsav-2024 on Sunday, January 28. The event, organized by the Banga Utsav Samiti, had the presence of Chairman Tapas Mitra, President Achintam Gupta, Inaugurator Vinay Das Maharaj from Potka Ashram, Kabu Dutta (Devi Shankar Dutta), Partho Sarathi Sen, and Tapas Chatterjee from Ghatsila.
During their speeches, the dignitaries shed light on the objectives of the one-day banga Utsav-2024.
Various stalls showcased Bengali cuisine, cultural artifacts, and branded jewelry, attracting visitors. Political representatives also joined the program, chanting ‘Joy Bangla’ and assuring their commitment to advocating the rights of the Bengali language and its users.
The entire premises buzzed with diverse activities, including a drawing competition for children.
From different locations in Kolhan, the committee organized cultural programs to keep the Bengali community connected. In the second phase of the program, music guru and singer Badal Pal’s disciples presented Bengali folk songs. Their presentations were followed by Badal Pal, Anushka Patra, and Rahul Sinha who mesmerized the audience with Bengali folk and traditional songs until late night.
