Jamshedpur, July 5: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha general secretary Abhay Singh criticized Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a misleading budget. She said the people had expected reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel. But the government has imposed additional Excise duty of 1 per cent fuels, which would benefit private oil companies, he said.
Singh said the government did not give any relief to the middle class that had played a vital role in making Narendra Modi Prime Minister again. He said the discount of Rs 3.5 lakh in purchasing houses worth up to Rs 45 lakh is ironical as prices of sand, cement and rods are very high already.
