Inter-State Youth Exchange programme begins in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, February 24: The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme was inaugurated on February 24,  at the Multipurpose Hall of Srinath University in Jamshedpur. The programme is being organised by Mera Yuva Bharat, East Singhbhum, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

The event is being conducted under the guidance of Montu Patar, District Youth Officer, Mera Yuva Bharat, East Singhbhum. Rashtriya Swayamsevaks of Srinath College extended support in organising the programme. A total of 37 youth participants from Maharashtra are taking part in the exchange initiative.

The main objective of the programme is to promote mutual understanding, harmony and national integration among youth by encouraging the exchange of language, culture and traditions between different states.

Regional Director and State Director Lalita Kumari attended the programme as chief guest. Special guests included Dr. Shivanand Singh, Vice Chancellor of Srinath University; Dr. Shalini Ojha; Mausami Mahato, Principal of Srinath College; and Angelis Minz, former District Youth Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra.

The programme, which began on February 23, will continue till February 27, 2026. It includes cultural performances, interactive sessions and various participatory activities aimed at overall youth development.
