Jamshedpur: A group of youths allegedly assaulted the claims manager of a private insurance company at Bistupur on Wednesday. The victim, Rahul Jha, has registered an FIR against nine persons including one Santosh Sahu with the Bistupur police station. He alleged that 10 youths barged into his office in the morning and assaulted him. Hearing the hullaballoo, other office employees rushed to the office and caught seven persons including Santosh Sahu. Later, the seven persons were handed over to the police.
According to Srinivas, officer in-charge of Bistupur PS, the dispute arose over an accident claim made by one Santosh Gupta regarding a road mishap which occurred in November 2017.
