Jamshedpur: Surgery department of Tata Main Hospital (TMH) through its intensive academic program has embarked on improving clinical knowledge and skill of post-graduate students of Surgery.
Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Dr Chintamani said the main purpose of the conference is to train students on do�s and don�ts. He said the innovative techniques in the field of surgery were going to stay on and be relevant in enhancing the learning experience. He said the participants should learn about the new methods in surgery and acquire a deep knowledge of the same.
Dr Chintamani also stressed on ethical practices and asked students to acquire them. He said many new techniques cut down expenses and pain for patients.
Four-day conference will benefit around 100 students in improving their clinical knowledge and skill as they will interact with some of the big names in the field of surgery were leading doctors from all over the country would horn their skills in process to help them become world level doctors for better patient outcomes.
Doctors will train the students on how to solve complicated cases and teach them high end surgery techniques. On the first day of the conference students attended training workshop on suturing, knotting and anastomotic techniques focusing on improving their surgical skills.
Students from all over the country including Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mysore, Pune, Rourkela and Ranchi are attending the conference which kicked off on July3 at TMH.
Last year around 95 students participated and we are hoping to make this an annual event, said Dr Arunima Sinha, Organising Secretary of Clinical Surgery Update.
