Jamshedpur, July 1 : Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur Zest embarked on tree plantation at Uchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya at Chilgu in Chakulia . A total of 102 saplings were planted. President of the club Reema Adesara , secretary Nikita Mehta , vice president Chandni Mehta, ISO Neha Sanghari and Parul Vagadia were present. The students were also given a talk on the importance of planting trees for our environment and how to protect trees.
The tree plantation programme was launched today, this year, after assuring that the soil had received adequate rainfall which would help to improve the survival of the newly planted saplings. The saplings would be nurtured by students who are thinking of further beautifying the place with flower beds, fruits and a green belt.
