Heavy Rush at Sakchi Durga Bari for Maha Ashtami in Jamshedpur

 

Jamshedpur, March 26: A large number of devotees thronged Sakchi Durga Bari on Thursday to mark the auspicious occasion of Maha Ashtami during Chaitra Navratri and Basanti Durga Puja. The temple premises witnessed an overwhelming turnout from early morning, with worshippers lining up in long queues to offer prayers.

Devotees gathered in huge numbers to perform Pushpanjali, offering floral tributes to Goddess Durga and seeking blessings for peace, prosperity, and well-being. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as chants and hymns echoed across the temple.

Special arrangements were made by the temple committee to manage the crowd and ensure a smooth flow of devotees. Volunteers were seen guiding visitors and maintaining order within the premises. Security measures were also put in place to handle the large gathering.

The Maha Ashtami bhog (sacred food offering) drew significant participation, with long queues forming as devotees patiently waited to receive the prasad. Many families and groups visited the temple together, making the occasion a vibrant community celebration.

Chaitra Navratri holds immense religious significance, and Maha Ashtami is considered one of its most important days.

The grand turnout in Jamshedpur reflected the deep faith and enthusiasm of devotees celebrating the festival with devotion and fervour.
