Jamshedpur, July 9: The much awaited Guru Purnima Mahotsav the annual event of socio-religious organization Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha kicked off today early morning with hoisting of the national flag at Brahmolokdham in Uliyan.
Several events were lined up for the day as Pataka Abhivadan, traditional Jap and Havan were held at the venue. Guru Prasad was distributed by Muzzafarpur, Mumbai and Nashik branch while several branches of the Sangha also presented colourful cultural program.
Afternoon Prasad was distributed by Jamshedpur branch. From 2 to 4 pm Mahasnan, Mahaarti and Mahasringar was carried out at Brahmolokdham. The event later moved to Rabindra Bhavan in Sakchi were President of the Sangh was also present.
The Sangha Mumbai and Nashik Branch presented a cultural program leaving the audience spell bound while at 7 in the evening Kolkata Branch put up an excellent performance at Rabindra Bhavan.
The day�s event concluded with devotees getting Guruprasad distributed by the Sangha�s Delhi branch.
