Jamshedpur: Ram Navami was celebrated with great devotion at the Andhra Committee East Zone in Telco, where the traditional Sita-Ram Vivah ceremony was organised inside the temple premises. The highlight of the event was the symbolic wedding of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, performed by priests following Vedic rituals and Telugu customs.
Around 135 couples took part in the ceremony, seeking blessings for happiness, peace, and prosperity in their lives. The ritual holds deep religious significance and is conducted every year as part of Ram Navami celebrations.
General Secretary K. Rammohan Rao said the Sita-Ram Kalyanam symbolises harmony in nature and is believed to ensure prosperity. He added that Lord Ram is associated with seasonal rains, while Goddess Sita, believed to be born from the Earth, represents fertility and abundance.
Several members, including Narayan Rao, G. Srinivas Rao, Bhaskar Rao and others, were present and contributed to the successful आयोजन of the programme.
