Jamshedpur: A 55-year-old motorcyclist died in a tragic road accident near Jagannathpur Petrol Pump under the Galudih police station area on Saturday morning.
According to initial reports, the victim was riding his motorcycle when a speeding car rammed into him from behind with considerable force. The impact left him critically injured and bleeding profusely on the road.
Local residents rushed to his aid and immediately shifted him to the Sub-Divisional Hospital for emergency treatment. However, after examination, attending physician Dr. Meera Murmu declared him dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sheikh Azad (55), a resident of Phulpal. He was reportedly returning home from Jamshedpur when the accident occurred near Jagannathpur.
Sheikh Azad is survived by his wife, one son, and three daughters. All three daughters are married, while his son works outside the state. The sudden demise has left the family devastated, with relatives inconsolable following the tragic loss.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are working to ascertain further details, including the identity of the car driver involved in the accident.
