Jamshedpur, June 8: As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc the world over, Jharkhand� also recorded the highest ever single-day spike with 150 COVID-19� cases on Monday, June 8. Total tally in the state stands at 1293 till the filing of this report. Cases in Jamshedpur has reached 183 with four cases added on Monday. Of the four new cases three belong to Azadnagar in Mango which includes two men and a woman who have returned to the steel city from Kolkata on June 2 and were in quarantine. The fourth positive is a resident of Kadma.
The person was in institutional quarantine and all have been admitted to TMH COVID-19 ward. Swab samples of 12842 people of Jamshedpur has been taken while report of 12172 has come out and report of 670 is still pending.
Other positive cases in Jharkhand were reported from Chatra 17, Deoghar 5, Dhanbad 19, Jamshedpur 4, Giridih 1, Gumla 15, Hazaribagh 3, Garhwa 5, Jamtara 9, Khunti 3, Latehar 6, Lohardaga 3, Pakur 12, Ramgarh 2 and Simdega 46. Most of the positives reported on Monday are migrants who have returned from other states. Jamshedpur who has been leading with the most corona cases in the state saw some good news coming it�s way on Monday when 8 patients defeated Coronavirus and were discharged from the hospital. Of the 8 recovered, 2 are from Govindpur, 1 each from Mousabani, Telco, Haldipokhar, Golmuri, Chakulia and Dhalbhumgarh. Earlier on Sunday 113 cases were reported in Jharkhand.�
