Jamshedpur, July 23: Four persons, including three from Jamshedpur and one from Saraikela succumbed to COVID-19 infection on Thursday, June 23. They were undergoing treatment at Tata Main Hospital.
An 82-year-old Sonari resident fell victim to the virus on July 23 evening. According to reports, the elderly person was rushed to the hospital with breathing difficulties.. He was also suffering from lungs and liver disorders and was admitted to the hospital on July 22. He died today.
Another victim, a 57-year-old Tata Steel employee and resident of Sidgora was on leave for quite some time. He was suffering from fever and breathing problems. He was admitted to the hospital on July 18. He tested positive for the coronavirus on July 19 and succumbed to the disease on Thursday, July 23 evening in the course of treatment. According to reports both the deceased had no travel history and did not come in contact with any COVID-19 patient.
The third Jamshedpur COVID fatality was that of a 57 year old woman, a resident of Dimna Road in Mango who was admitted to TMH on July 15. She died late evening today, July 23.
A 40 year old male patient from Nimdih in Saraikela-Kharsawan district was admitted to TMH on July 18 with complaints of malaria and jaundice. His test report on July 20 was corona positive. He died during treatment on July 23 evening.
