Jamshedpur: Former cricketers of the city came out openly against Jharkhand State Cricket Association president Amitabh Choudhary and other functionaries by sitting on dharna before the JSCA office at Bistupur on Saturday.
The agitating former cricketers sought answer to 13 questions by the JSCA president, secretary and other functaries. They alleged that the JSCA president and other functionaries were not answering their repeated queries on the issue of corruption in the state cricketing body. They said the JSCA functionaries had turned a deaf ear to their complaints and queries by assuming a sense of domination over all affairs.
The agitating crickets alleged that the JSCA secretary had deprived the members of their rights. They further alleged that the minutes of the last annual general manager (AGM) of JSCA had been tampered with and that the JSCA president was trying to avoid the questions of rival group members.
Those present during the agitation included Sheshnath Pathak, Anand Rao, Jairam, Amit Kar, Sanjay Dhokhe, Gurpreet Singh, Rakesh, Neeraj Chouhan, Sandeep Choudhary, Sujit Bhadani, Shailesh Tiwary, Arvind Mishra, Vinod Parve, Badrinath Choubey, Arvind Kumar Mishra, Sanku Das, Muni Devi and Chandana Banerjee.
