In view of the ongoing festive season, a team of executive magistrate Yashmita Singh and food inspector carried out surprise inspections at various sweets shops in the city on Thursday. Samples were taken from Shaligram Sweets, Vrindavan Sweets and Sagar Sweets in Bistupur. They were sent to the state science laboratory for testing against adulteration. The raids were conducted on the instructions of SDO Suraj Kumar.
