Jamshedpur : SDSM School for Excellence celebrated the 68th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The tri-colour flag beamed high in the school premises.
To mark the celebration, an assemblage of events took place ranging from hoisting the flag, patriotic songs to dances to commemorate the freedom struggle. Hindi and English speeches were delivered by students to inculcate the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie.
Diwakar Singh, Chairman of the School unfurled the national flag and paid homage to the untold sacrifices of the freedom fighters and created an atmosphere of national pride in the school premises.
The highlight of this celebration was the oath taking ceremony of the students� council for which the school�s Principal Shyamali Virdi handed over the sachet and badges to the students� council which comprised: President Simran Kaur Chahal, Vice President, Debashish Sarkar, Discipline Minister Ashwini Kumar, Cultural Minister Megha Thap Sports Minister Ajit Kuma Health & Hygiene Minister Priyanka Munks.
