Chaibasa : A total of three hundred ceiling fans were stolen from newly constructed 1 hundred bed hospital Rutagutu under Noamundi block .
The electricity wires, encrusted switch boards in the wall , water pipes , doors ,windows and syntax water tank were also stolen nor is any sigh of information flashed out at the loss around 30 lakhs rupees worth caused to the hospital due to theft and no FIR was registered against the crime and the hospital was inaugurated by Government authorities on September 29.
The estimation of hospital constructions cost around 10 crores to 13 crores built in a solitary area and the contractor has handed over the hospital to the then incumbent civil surgeon Chaibasa without having been completed the building work and basic amenities , if one enters the hospital one can see huge wall and roof cracks and many parts of the rooms are still incomplete.
Apparently the hospital was constructed with substandard materials. The hospital lacks all the basic amenities like electricity, water facility, and uneven campus as such it can be evidently said there is huge scam at the cost of public life.
As per rule without fulfilling the basic amenities the civil surgeon should not take the charge of the hospital from the contractor .
Medical staff of Badajamda hospital said that scheme was sanctioned by Jharkhand Health department and the cost of the poor quality hospital show up hardly 4 to 5 crore and the rest of the amount has been plundered with connivance of the then contractors , medical officers and others .
They expressed If an inquiry is set up then the culprits will be caught.
