Seraikela, April 18: Former Ranchi MP and senior Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay Monday lashed out at the state bureaucrats for their alleged red-tapism. He said the senior administrative officials of the state continued their old attitude despite the formation of a new government.

“The government is ours, but the bureaucrats of the state still have the old attitude. They have not changed a bit. We will chalk out strategy to counter this situation,” said Sahay while addressing party workers during Samvad, a programme organized by the Congress party at Town Hall, Seraikela.

Sahay said efforts were on to strengthen the Congress party all over Jharkhand. He called on party workers to communicate with the people to resolve their problems.

The Congress leader spared no opportunity to criticize the Narendra Modi government for inflation and unemployment. “It seems the word unemployment is not there in the Central government’s dictionary. The government has not given jobs to youths in the last seven to eight years. All it is interested in doing is to sell government properties. To stop this, all party workers should join forces with the people,” he said.

Sahay said the Congress was a staunch supporter of reservation.

Many party leaders were present during today’s programme.
