Jamshedpur, Nov 10: Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi was celebrated with fervour in the city on Sunday. A procession was taken out in Dhatkidih to mark the occasion. Several stalls were also set up on the road side. A large number of youths participated in the procession which moved through Mango, Jugsalai and Dhatkidih.

This year, the festivity was restricted mostly to a limited area. A fair was organized at the Centre ground in Dhatkidih. Celebrations were also held in Old Purulia Road, New Purulia Road and Jugsalai.

This years Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations were not as grand as they used to be. East Singhbhum district administration had convened a meeting with members of minority community yesterday.

The representatives of various mosque committees decided that no procession would be taken out this year.

Fruits and juices were distributed at various places. Children were present during the celebrations in large numbers.
