Jamshedpur, July 23: S K Behera, CII Eastern Region Chairman and Vice Chairman of RSB Transmission Pvt Ltd, has commended the government’s budget initiatives for developing India’s eastern region. He praised the ‘Purvodaya’ plan, focusing on Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, and applauded the emphasis on heritage site tourism.
Behera highlighted the allocation of Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment, and skill development, stating it will enhance youth opportunities and improve workforce capabilities in Eastern and North Eastern States.
The budget’s focus on the poor, women, youth, and farmers was particularly lauded by Behera. He also emphasized the economic impact of the Rs 2.66 lakh crore allocation for rural development and infrastructure.
Overall, Behera’s comments reflect optimism about the government’s efforts to boost development and create opportunities in India’s eastern states, seeing the budget as a significant step towards regional growth.
