Jamshedpur, Oct 24: State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has set the ball rolling for making East Singhbhum a cent per cent digital district. A meeting of all government and private banks of the district was convened in this direction on Thursday. The representatives of payment banks, business representatives and JSLPS were present during the meeting organized at Jamshedpur circle office of Bank of India. The meeting was chaired by Sanjeev Sarkar, deputy general manager (DGM) of SLBC. The bankers met deputy development commissioner (DDC) B Maheshwari for discussions on the issue. The district administration assured to help the bankers in every possible manner. The task of carrying out digitization in the 11 blocks of East Singhbhum was entrusted to the block level nodal officer.
