Hemant Soren discuss with FJCCI on boosting industrial growth
Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has reiterated that development of the energy sector remains a top priority for the Jharkhand government. He highlighted that concrete steps are being taken to modernize and strengthen electricity infrastructure across the state.
Senior officials of PVNL (Power Ventures National Limited) urged the government to take strong initiatives for skill development among youth in the energy sector. Meanwhile, PVNL CEO expressed gratitude to the chief minister after one of its units began commercial electricity production of 800 megawatts, marking a significant milestone in state’s power generation capacity.
Earlier, Hemant Soren on Saturday held a courtesy meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries at his official residence on Kanke Road. During the interaction, detailed discussions were held on industrial development in Jharkhand, effective implementation of government policies and various issues related to industrial units operating in the state.
Members of the delegation apprised the chief minister of practical challenges being faced by the industry sector along with possible solutions. Emphasising government commitment, Hemant Soren said Jharkhand administration is fully dedicated to promoting industrial growth, describing industry as the backbone of state economy. He acknowledged the significant role played by the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries in strengthening economic development.
The chief minister assured the delegation that concerns and suggestions raised during the meeting would be acted upon promptly. He added that necessary directions would be issued to concerned departments to further simplify business processes and create a more investor-friendly environment, with focus on expanding investment and employment opportunities across Jharkhand.
The meeting was attended by chamber president Aditya Malhotra, vice-president Ram Bangar, general secretary Rohit Agarwal, joint secretaries Navjot Alang and Rohit Poddar, treasurer Anil Agarwal, and executive members Mukesh Agarwal, Manish Shraff and Dr Abhishek Ramadhin.
