Jamshedpur: Gamharia police on Wednesday cautioned the Deputy Mayor of Adityapur Municipal Corporation Amit Singh against a possible attack on him. The officer incharge of Gamharia PS JP Rana informed Amit Singh that his life could be in danger and that the source of the danger was not known.
He sent a team of police control room to escort Amit Singh who was returning to Adityapur after attending the election of the District Planning Committee. The police team escorted Amit Singh and his supporters from Kolabira to his residence.
The Deputy Mayor said he already had a government bodyguard and two private security staff. After getting news from the police, he demanded more guards.
Seraikela-Kharsawan police launched an anti-crime checking in Adityapur and Seraikela throughout the day. Senior police officials refused to say anything on the matter.
