Jamshedpur: JCB and tractor were pressed into service to clear garbage in Bagbera Colony. The effort was a result of the personal initiatives of DC Ananya Mittal and BDO Sudha Verma following a tweet to the former by Ward Member representative Ajit Singha regarding the accumulation of garbage in Bagbera Colony. The cleanliness drive, supervised by Panchayat Secretary Bablu Namta, was conducted under the DC’s personal expenses. Representatives including Deputy Chief Santosh Thakur, Panchayat Committee member Sunil Gupta, and Ward members Seema Pandey and Anisha Singha joined in congratulating DC Ananya Mittal and BDO Sudha Verma for their proactive approach in cleaning the locality.
Discussions were held regarding extending the cleaning efforts to other areas of Bagbera Colony. BDO Sudha Verma instructed Panchayat Secretary Bablu Namta to address the garbage accumulation in these areas as well.
