Jamshedpur, January 21: DBMS College of Education celebrated Parakram Diwas with great enthusiasm under the joint banner of NSS Unit–1 and the Social Science Club. The programme paid rich tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and highlighted his life, ideals and contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
The event was smoothly anchored by students Nandini and Akanksha. A documentary on the life and struggles of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was presented by Rohit and Ravi, giving students deeper insights into his revolutionary journey. Poetry recitation by Anjali and Rashmi added an emotional and patriotic touch to the programme.
One of the major attractions of the event was a stage enactment depicting various characters of the Rani Jhansi Regiment. The powerful performance captivated the audience, with Parimal Pal’s portrayal of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose leaving a strong and lasting impression.
The programme was meticulously planned and coordinated by NSS Programme Officer Poonam Kumari, under whose guidance the student presentations and enactments were widely appreciated.
Addressing the gathering, College Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita spoke about the glorious history of the Azad Hind Fauj and shared lesser-known aspects of Netaji’s personal life. She urged students to imbibe the values of patriotism, sacrifice and discipline in their lives.
The event received significant support from Vice-Principal Dr. Monika Uppal, Secretary Sripriya Dharmarajan and Joint Secretary Sudha Dilip.
