Noamundi, August 20: Tata DAV Public School Noamundi observed Sanskrit Diwas and Tulsi Jayanti at the school premises on Saturday.
The event began with lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Principal T K Mishra. Thereafter the principal, teachers and students paid floral tribute to the portrait of Tulsi Das .
Series of events were lined up for the day including essay writing on Sanskrit, Sanskrit speaking, Recitation, conversation, question and answer on the subject .
On the occasion Principal said, Sanskrit is the richest language of the world, it is an ancient and divine language. Sanskrit language is the ocean of knowledge which is the origin of most of the languages.
He also praised Tulsi Das for Ramcharitra Manas. Dr A K Singh inormed the students about Sanskrit language. The music teacher Rasmi Bhattacharya presented beautiful songs on the occasion.
