Jamshedpur, Sep 2: The annual English Inter School Fest e-Aurora 2021 was conducted by the English department of DAV Public School, Bistupur with the purpose of making collaborative learning a delightful experience for the students.
The event was organised online where 21 schools of Jamshedpur along with 4 DAV Public Schools of the state participated. The inaugural ceremony of Aurora 2021 began with the DAV Gaan followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Principal Pragya Singh blessed the children and thanked the teachers for holding this virtual event. She stressed that collaborative learning is an essence of today’s learning environment and attempt should be made to share and learn things in the best way possible.
Chief Guest for the occasion Ronold D’Costa, PDG, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur opined that one should not gloat over one’s achievement and adapt the changes coming in our way as the new normal.
The objective of the program was to provide opportunities to the students to showcase their talent and skills while communicating in English language.
Students were engaged in different contests such as Young Naidus (Std. I & II), Spin the yarn (Std. III & IV), Art moves (Std. V & VI), Curious questions (Std. VII & VIII), Grandiloquence (Std. IX & X) and Pick the policy (Std. XI & XII).
The videos of the first four events were uploaded on 28th August. The last two events were streamed live. The elite panelist of Judges for Grandiloquence was Dr. Nupur Palit and Dr. Manisha Titus and Judges for Pick the Policy were Dr. Monika Uppal and Dr. Rajiv Bhushan.
The cumulative results for all the events will be declared on 13 September 2021.
e-Aurora 2021 was a great success as it boosted up the confidence level of the children and was able to inculcate in them self reliance and provided them a platform for ameliorating themselves for the best. Overall the event ended on a happy note and with the promise of coming back every year with renewed vigour and enthusiasm.
