Dacoits loot cash and jewelry in Potka

Jamshedpur, July 22: Unidentified armed criminals looted cash and valuables worth several lakhs from a house in Bamni village under Nimdih PS late yesterday night. They barged into the house of one Abhay Nag and took him and other family members at gunpoint, cops said.

Police said the accused persons took away cash worth Rs 70,000, jewelry worth Rs 3 lakh and other valuables. During the dacoity, the accused persons also assaulted the victims and injured them severely, they said.

According to Arjun Oraon, OC of Nimdih PS, �We have registered a case of dacoity. An investigation is on to nab the culprits.�
