Jamshedpur, May 27: As Cyclonic storm Remal wreaks havoc in West Bengal, its effects are expected to be felt in Jamshedpur and surrounding areas on Tuesday. Heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds battered West Bengal on Monday morning, with similar conditions observed in Jamshedpur and nearby regions. The impact of the cyclonic storm is anticipated to persist till Tuesday.
On Monday, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 37.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the highest temperature reached 41.5 degrees Celsius. Baharagora recorded a temperature of 30.4 degrees Celsius, Seraikela 38.6 degrees Celsius, and West Singhbhum 38.3 degrees Celsius.
Alerts have been issued for several districts in Jharkhand for Tuesday. There is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in the northeastern parts of the state, including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, and Sahebengal, as well as Ranchi, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela. Wind speeds are expected to reach 30-40 km per hour during this period. Thunderstorms are also likely in Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, and Chatra districts.
