Corona corner: 22 positives, 21 recoveries, no fatalities in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec. 3: East Singhbhum reported 22 corona positive cases while 21 people recovered of the virus on Thursday, December 3. No COVID-19 death was recorded in Jamshedpur on Thursday. The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 16867.

21 people recovered of the virus on Thursday taking the total recovery to 16293 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 203.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 145388 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.

So far in Jamshedpur 404506 samples have been collected out of which 387024 have been tested and 370157 have turned out to be negative.

The Coronavirus tally in the state on Thursday reached to 1,09,771 as 233 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 22 districts of Jharkhand. During the day 6 deaths were reported including 3 from Ranchi and 1 each from Bokaro, East Singhbhum and Bokaro districts as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 977. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 per cent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,926 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,06,868.

The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 977. On Thursday a maximum number of 85 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 28 in Dhanbad, 22 in East Singhbhum, 16 in Hazaribagh and 11 in Bokaro (top five districts). A total of the number of 208 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 41 from Ranchi, 24 from Dhanbad, 21 from East Singhbhum, 13 each from Palamu and Bokaro and 11 from West Singhbhum. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 per cent mark to currently stand at 97.35 per cent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 42,83,225 samples have been collected out of which 42,65,795 have been tested and 41,56,024 have turned out to be negative.
