Jamshedpur: A 22 year old contract labour working with Usha Martin Ltd. died during his working hours inside the company�s plant situated at Gamharia, said the deceased�s family members during a protest at TMH (Tata Main Hospital) main gate on Wednesday, September 11.
Mohammed Kalam resident of Old Purlia Road in Mango was working as a contract labour with the company and today while at work he feel inside the company�s plant and was brought to TMH and during treatment he died, said a family member of Kalam demanding compensation for the deceased. On the other company management denying the charge told that the accident occurred outside the company premises for which he is not liable for any compensation.
The protest became larger as Kalam�s family members and friends sat outside the TMH main gate and also at TMH roundabout held sitting protest demanding compensation for the deceased, Police jumped into action and repulse the protestors. The protestors later moved to DCD and SSP office continuing their move for compensation and again had to face police music and finally they ran away from the scene.
