Jamshedpur: The long-pending demand for the construction of a PCC road from Ghaghidih Jail to the settlement via TRF Colony in Jamshedpur block has finally been fulfilled. Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar said that the road has been approved, and laid the foundation stone after a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday.
The construction of this PCC road will facilitate transportation for the residents of the area and alleviate the problems faced during the rainy season. Locals say that this road has been a long-standing demand of theirs, and now it is coming to fruition.
Sardar said, “The people have placed their trust in me, and it is my responsibility to honour that trust. Our priority is to ensure that every settlement has access to paved roads, better facilities, and development. Under Hemant Soren’s government, public welfare projects are being implemented rapidly, and no shortage will be allowed in the development of the area in the future. The total cost of the road construction has been estimated at Rs 24 lakh.
